BATTLE FOR THE WORD OF GOD

GOD'S WORD WILL PREVAIL OVER ALL
The words of the Lord are pure words
- like silver refined seven times.
You shall keep them O Lord
The wicked prowl on every side when vileness is exalted among the sons of men. (Psalm 12-6-8 )

The Scripture when rightly understood and applied is the most beautiful love letter from God to man. It's promises fuel our faith and its instruction can guide all generations in the way of peace, love and abundance.

Yet this Word has been under attack since the very beginning? Satan's first words to man were "has God said?' (Genesis 3.1) It has been his strategy forever to steer us away from God's word, promises and instructions.
In Psalm 12, David prays that the words of the Lord (YHWH) will be preserved FROM this generation. You shall preserve them from this generation forever. To preserve God's word FOR this generation we must preserve them FROM this generation - which seeks to belittle and ignore it. The future of our civilization depends on God PRESERVING HIS WORD FROM (unbelievers in) this generation so that He can PRESENT IT TO (believers in) this generation. It is the privilege of each generation to discover for themselves the power and the relevance of God's wonderful word.

APPLYING GOD'S WORD
There is a promise in God's word for every situation, and a word of advice in God's word for every problem we face. When problems assail us we can look to the promises of God's word and follow the advice of God's word.

Mary, the mother of Jesus prayed : 'Be it done to me ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD." She received a promise that she would be the mother of the Messiah. She then turned the promise into a prayer, and it came to pass.
When you see God's a promise in God's word that fits your situation you can turn it back to God in humble prayer and you will see Him fulfill His promises in your life. “For I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” (Jeremiah 1.12)
Quoting the scriptures in your head and running them through your mind has limited value. It is when we bring them to the Lord for Him to fulfill, based on His covenant with us that you will see God's hand at work. The difference is huge. It is the difference between mental psychological power and Gods miraculous intervention. "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life." (John 5.39-40)
It is when we bring the scriptures to the Lord that we will see Him work - He transforms them from dead letter to living reality. In this way our life in the scriptures become a dialog of love with God Himself. "For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass." (Ezekiel 12.25)

GOD IS PRESERVING HIS WORD CONCERNING ISRAEL FROM THIS GENERATION
Psalm 12 (quoted above:) says that God will PRESERVE HIS WORD FROM this generation. We before our eyes how many in this generation reject the word of God concerning Israel and many other aspects of God's word. However, they will not succeed in concealing the word of God from this chosen generation, because God will preserve His word FROM all generations FOR all generations.
Mary saw this and rejoiced that God was remembered His promises to Abraham.
“My soul glorifies the Lord ......50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. 54 He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.” (Luke 1. 50-45)
