DAY 7: Pentecost, Purchased The Blood Of Jesus
“ He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1.13-14)
“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh…. that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2.11-13)
“And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2.2)
Jesus we welcome the ongoing outpouring of Your Holy Spirit on ourselves and on Your Body. We do so on the basis on the basis of the reconciliation accomplished for us and for the world by Your shed blood which totally satisfied the requirements of God’s justice forever.
“ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.” (Eph. 1.7-8)
You have torn down the barrier of sin that separated us from Your life and blessing. You have dealt with the worthiness issue.
You have “wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us ..and taken it out of the way having nailed it to the Cross,” so now we can humbly but confidently return to You and welcome Your Holy Spirit upon ourselves and upon Your Body throughout the world.
We recall that on the day of Pentecost You multiplied the first 120 people who received Your Spirit to 3,000 people in one day – a 25 fold increase! We ask You on this Pentecost 2020, to cause another huge multiplication of those who come to You, and believe and receive on the basis Your Atoning Blood and enthronement as King of Heaven and Earth.
We recognize that this multiplication could never be the fruit of our religious programs or religious strivings. We receive this as gift being poured out from Heaven on an undeserving but needy world on the basis of YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD and YOUR ENTHRONEMENT and GLORIFICATION.
“Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.” (Acts 2.33)
Come Holy Spirit, bear witness to Jesus’ GLORIFICATION and enthronement as King of all the earth. Release, on a world-wide scale, a new discovery of the mercies won by Jesus, that will multiply the company of those who believe in Him and receive the benefits of His reconciling work. Do it again as You empower Your entire church to manifest His Life and Love for all.
