Miracle Prayer
“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21-22)
We release our faith in the work of God for us in Messiah Jesus by acknowledging our need of the salvation He offers and receiving it with faith. We formally declare our acceptance of His gift by declaring (confessing) our faith in what He has done for us. Just as a marriage is formalized when the couple says that they accept each other as husband and wife, we receive the salvation that Jesus offers us by a formal declaration. This prayer can help many to make the formal acceptance and acknowledgment of God’s great salvation.
‘Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The scripture says, ‘No one who believes in him will be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him. For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ (Romans 10:9-13)
The ‘Miracle Prayer’ is a way that the individual can formally express His faith in what God has done for Him in the cross of Jesus The miracle, of course, is not in the prayer but in the work of God for us. We encourage you to copy this prayer and distribute it as the Lord directs.
